Having Kenpachi's eyepatch would be pretty bad to have if you were doing normal play, but let's say you were going to go PVP on another person, one person is level 100 while the other is level 50, why not use the eyepatach and half your stats to make the other person, equally matched? Better yet, what if you could adjust your stats and how far down they will go? putting how much percentage you want them to go down and then you could fight any person you want! (Under your stats anyway.) Keeping this in mind, you can do plenty of events that will not be so overpowered on others! And once you take off the eyepatch you'll go back to your normal Stated self.
(Keep in mind traits play a key role in the game, such as Zanjutsu, hand to hand, and dodging).
